Anna Teel

 

 

Anna Teel was born in Memphis, Tennessee, near her home of Mount Pleasant, Mississippi. She is the eldest of four siblings, and graduated from Marshall Academy in 1996. Anna earned the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Bible and a minor in Spanish at Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, MS, in 2000. She earned the Master of Divinity degree from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2003, and the Doctor of Ministry degree in 2010.  She was called to ministry at the age of fifteen and shared her calling with her home church, First Baptist Church of Holly Springs, MS. She was ordained to ministry in July of 2006 at Bella Vista Community Church. Anna has served in various ministry settings, as youth director for 7th-12th grade students, chaplain resident at a university hospital, and minister to 7th and 8th grade students, before joining the staff of Bella Vista Community Church as associate pastor for young families and students in February of 2006. Anna enjoys walking outdoors, going to the movies, and traveling.

 

In John 13:34-35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Anna believes that once we have experienced God’s love and forgiveness, we will share God’s love with other people. Understanding how God loves us and creating opportunities to share God’s love with people is important to Anna as a pastor. When we are sensitive to God’s leading in our lives, we will see that loving God and loving people can be a lifestyle and is how others come to know Christ and to be more like Christ.

 

Jeff Reed

 

 

Jeff Reed was born and raised in Illinois.  Before entering full-time ministry, Jeff served in the United States Marine Corps and as a police officer in the city of Lake Forest, Illinois.  Jeff has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology (1987) a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Counseling (1989), a Master of Divinity degree in Theology (1991), and a Doctorate in Pastoral Care (2004) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

 

Jeff has been in full-time ministry since 1991.  He began his ministry with Bella Vista Community Church in 2011, serving as our Pastor of Pastoral Care and Discipleship.

 

Jeff’s wife, Becky, sings in the choir.  They have two children – Micah and Emily.  Jeff’s lifetime verse is Philippians 1:6 – “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (ESV)  His favorite book of the Bible is Romans.

 

Jeff enjoys reading, shooting sports, traveling with his family and, for better or for worse, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Purdue Boilermakers.
