Our Purpose
It is our purpose to make disciples by bringing people to Jesus and membership in His family, loving and nurturing each other to Christ-like maturity and equipping believers for sacrificial service in the Church, community and the world so that we may joyfully and in unity bring honor and glory to God.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20      The  Great Commission

Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  'This is the first and greatest commanment.  And the second is like it:  'Love your neighbor as yourself.  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
Matthew 22:37-40     The Great Commandment

Our Vision
As members of Bella Vista Community Church, we are committed to being Christ-centered and dedicating all aspects of our lives to following and fulfilling His Great Commission and Great Commandment.

We envision being…
  • intergenerational and interdenominational, a community of believers becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.
  • a church that continues to offer different styles of worship, drawing us into God’s presence and challenging us from God’s Word with the Good News that gives us hope, that reminds us of God’s grace, that heals our brokenness and sets us free.
  • a church that is inviting, that has passion for the lost and hurting, and believes Christ is the answer to people’s needs.
  • a church where members and friends gather in small groups for study, sharing and prayer; where people find community and models for the Christian life.
  • a people who know how to have fun in ways that honor Christ and allow us to have a strong witness.
  • a community providing  ministerial and lay-led care to people in all circumstances  of life.
  • a people engaged in mission – in our church, community and even around the world.
  • a church whose facilities reflect a loving sensitivity to the needs of all people.
  • a community filled with the Spirit of Christ, helping people discover new life and transformation in all of their personal  relationships.
  • a people of many ethnic backgrounds and religious affiliations, who find their unity in Christ and their guidance for life from God’s Word.
